Meet the MBI Team

Kandi Chapman is the Founder and President of MBI Worldwide, Inc.  Mrs. Chapman founded MBI Worldwide in 1998.  MBI has since evolved into a global employment background screening company, with offices in Southern Illinois and St. Petersburg, FL.  

Kandi has been nationally honored and recognized by The National Women Business Owners Corporation with the Silver Eclipse Award for creating and providing an outstanding company culture within MBI Worldwide.  She is a recipient of the Frank R. Samuel Community Service Award in Illinois, a two year recipient of Top 100 Diversity Business, a 2014 Top 20 Business in St Louis and most recently was honored as being one of St. Louisans Top 100 People To Know To Succeed In Business.

Kandi is the pioneer of Stay Sharp, HR at MBI Worldwide.  An outlet designed to help educate human resource professionals and hiring managers in compliance and industry related legislation pertaining to the employment screening industry.  She authors several articles each month related to employment screening and human resource topics.

In her spare time, Kandi loves to explore the outdoors and on weekends you will find her on her boat, Margarita Journey, exploring the inter-coastals of Southwest Florida, chasing the sun.

With a community-minded awareness, Mrs. Chapman also enjoys spearheading innovative, faith-based outreach programs in her community, as well as at MBI Worldwide, including “MBI Makes a Difference” which is designed to support charity, scholarship, and civic progress. As a philanthropist, Mrs. Chapman has also chaired and organized several non-profits including Swag Her Up, an organization in Southern Illinois developed to assist disadvantaged women by giving them professional attire to wear for job interviews.
