St. Louis, MO – April 28, 2015 –   Brian Chapman, CEO and Kandi Chapman, President and Founder of MBI Worldwide, Inc., a global employment background check and drug testing firm in the St. Louis metropolitan area, have each been named individually as one of this year’s 100 St. Louisans You Should Know to Succeed in Business by the St. Louis Small Business Monthly.  According to SBM the annual edition profiles key executives, notable achievers and business community leaders who are chosen based upon their contribution to area businesses and the overall business community.

Brian Chapman is the CEO of MBI Worldwide, Inc.  With more than 18 years of industry experience, he is head of operations and management and leads a tenured staff of background experts and research analysts. Mr. Chapman is a keynote speaker in the employment screening circuit and authors a blog on employment screening issues.

In addition to his role as CEO, Mr. Chapman is also a founding member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners Association (NAPBS) and serves as a board member for the NAPBS Credentialing Council. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and St. Louis Human Resource Management Association.

Kandi Chapman is the President and Founder of MBI Worldwide, Inc.  As a woman-owned business owner, with a creative entrepreneurial spirit, Mrs. Chapman began MBI Worldwide from a $1000 personal loan in her spare bedroom.  Although a meager beginning, utilizing a second-hand desk, a kitchen chair, one computer and a multi-purpose fax machine MBI Worldwide now employs over 20 people and has offices in Southern Illinois and St. Petersburg, FL.

With a community-minded awareness, Mrs. Chapman enjoys spearheading innovative outreach programs in her community as well as at MBI Worldwide, including “MBI Makes a Difference” which is designed to support charity, scholarship, and civic progress. As a philanthropist, Mrs. Chapman has also chaired and organized several non-profits including Swag Her Up, an organization in Southern Illinois developed to assist disadvantaged women by giving them professional attire to wear for job interviews.
