MBI Worldwide Receives Accreditation from the National Association of Professional Background Screeners

Herrin, IL, May 29, 2014 — The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) Background Screening Credentialing Counsel (BSCC) recently announced that MBI Worldwide has successfully proven compliance with the Background Screening Agency Accreditation Program (BSAAP) and will now be formally recognized as an Accredited Employment Screening Company, Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA).

To become accredited with NAPBS, CRA’s must pass a rigorous review of the firm’s procedures and policies by an independent auditor and approved by the BSCC of NAPBS. Critical areas of accreditation include consumer protection, legal compliance, client education, product standards, service standards and general business practices. Only 2% of screening companies in the United States are accredited. NAPBS accreditation validates the employment screening firm’s competency, credibility and compliance within the background screening industry, proving them to be safe and reliable consumer reporting agencies and leaders in their market.
