The Federal Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA) allows consumers to receive a free copy of their credit report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax and Trans Union) on an annual basis.
If you are a consumer and would like to request a free copy of your credit report from these organizations, please contact the centralized processing center at (877) 322-8228, or visit the authorized source, www.annualcreditreport.com.
MBI Worldwide Background Checks does not have access to a centralized database of all consumer credit reports. A consumer report will not be available from MBI Worldwide Background Checks unless you have applied for a position of employment with one of our clients.

In accordance with the Free Annual File Disclosure Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 610), as a consumer you have the right to request a free annual file disclosure from MBI Worldwide Background Checks & Drug Screening if a background check has been ordered on you from one of our customers for background screening purposes.
You are hereby advised that MBI Worldwide Background Checks does not maintain a universal database of consumer credit reports, and we only provide individual consumer reports per the request of our customers after the consumer’s authorization has been obtained, legally. If you have not previously authorized a background report from MBI Worldwide Background Checks, we will not have your individual consumer report in our files.
If you are a consumer who has previously authorized MBI Worldwide Background Checks & Drug Screening to conduct a background check, you can request a free copy of your report. All copies of your consumer report / disclosure report will be delivered by mail only. To safeguard confidentially of your personal information, a copy of your current driver license must be provided with your request. In order for MBI Worldwide to mail the request to an address different than what we have on file, a copy of a utility bill will need to be provided.
If you believe that any information in your background report is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the option to file a dispute with MBI Worldwide Background Checks & Drug Screening. The dispute investigation process may take up to 30 days, depending on the nature, scope and source of the information that is being disputed.
MBI Worldwide’s compliance team will promptly investigate the specific information that you are disputing. MBI Worldwide also has client service representatives who will work with you if you need help identifying the specific information/records that you want to dispute.
You are entitled to such information by law.
