The Westchester County Board of Legislators in New York approved a “Ban-the-Box” legislation to ensure that past criminal offenders with criminal records are given a full opportunity to explain the circumstances related to their crime, when they are applying for a job. This change in law is effective March 3, 2019 in Westchester County, New York for private employers with four or more employees.
